This is a train station under construction somewhere in the middle part of China. The image was taken with a slow shutter speed from a train car window, which only adds to the effect. Rail infrastructure is far more efficient than private transportation. As a means of moving consumer goods, rail is likely preferable to trucking and certainly preferable to air in terms of environmental impact. Can interactive technologies play a role in promoting environmentally better transport and transportation infrastructures?
